Here at Smothers European Volvo, we love hearing exciting news about Volvo, and 2015 has certainly been a great year for that. Two of our favorite highlights are the XC90 being named an IIHS Top Safety Pick+, and the recent news relating to the Drive Me self-driving car initiative.

The team at Volvo is dedicated to luxury, safety, and innovation... which is what makes cars like the new XC90 perfect to adventure in.

On the heels of the much-lauded XC90, Volvo is continuing with its on-going overhaul of its flagship models. However, there will be a bit of a number's switch. Coming in 2016, and S90 and V90 will join the lineup as a sedan and wagon respectively, with a debut slated for both by the end of this year.

Volvo is pretty amped up about its newly redesigned Volvo XC90. And for good reason-- it has some of the most advanced safety features, as well as luxury features, of their entire lineup. And they want to make the XC90 as customizable as possible.

The highest trim level of the XC90 is dubbed "Excellence," and that name is quite suiting. It incorporates real wood trim, and includes a wine cooler, with chilled and heated cup holders, and custom crystal champagne flutes for entertaining back seat passengers.

Now, Volvo has introduced another luxury customization: the child seat concept.

It seems to us at Smothers European Volvo that our beloved Swedish brand is coming for the luxury crossover crown.  And on the back of the all-new 2016 Volvo XC90, it should have absolutely no trouble hitting that very target.
