11 Volvo models have earned five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s New Car Assessment Program for 2021. The 5-Star Safety Ratings program assesses how cars perform in crash tests. NHTSA conducts frontal, side, and rollover tests.

For example, Collision Avoidance can help you avoid a collision with other cars, pedestrians, and cyclists – day or night. The system will alert you with audible, visible, and brake pulse warnings if needed. If a collision is imminent, your vehicle will be able to brake automatically. Other safety technologies include lane keeping aid, run-off road mitigation, cross-traffic alert with auto brake, and the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS).
