Just when we thought the Volvo XC90 couldn't be more good looking, the Volvo brand releases a show-stopper at the Detroit Auto Show. Meet the new Volvo XC90 R-Design.
Many are calling this the best looking SUV on the market. Our team at Smothers European Volvo would have to agree, although we're clearly biased. Sticking with those "Thor-inspired" LED headlights (we didn't make that up- that's what everyone's calling them), and the aggressively dipped profile and low bumper, the XC, we can't help find ourselves just staring.
But we would be remiss not to mention the interior, or better yet, what we find under the hood. The interior takes a sporty makeover with various new controls, all accented with a touch of silver for a refined and modern feel. Under the hood we find sveral options, including a wide range of Volvo Drive-E powertrains. We're most excited about the engine available for the T8 model with an electric motor, which boasts 400 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque.
