In case you haven't heard, China is turning into the place to be for automakers across the globe. Can't say we've ever been, but given the size of its population and the potential of its market, it's easy to see why the effort is being made. Not surprisingly, our favorite automaker here at Smothers European Volvo is throwing their hat in the ring.

Now, aside from their apparent love for automobiles, the other thing worth noting about the masses in China is the quality of their air. Just recently, the Chinese city of Harbin recorded record levels of smog after starting up their coal-fired heating system. More specifically, the level of their fine particles was 30 times higher than the recommended standard set forth by the World Health Organization.

Not only is it jeopardizing the health of Harbin's citizens, but it's made Volvo's air filtrations systems more enticing than ever.

From what we've heard, drivers in China are claiming that the difference in air quality from inside a Volvo is night and day. Given how important safety is to our drivers here in Santa Rosa, CA, we can only imagine how important it must be to those living in Harbin. And if all goes according to plan, it might not be long before Volvo starts staking their claim.

So if you'd like to learn more about the air filtration systems on our vehicles (like the 2013 Volvo C30), the experts in our car parts department would be happy to fill you in. Or if you'd like to experience that new car smell at its most pure, your test drive awaits you today.
