The All-New Volvo XC90 and a Number of Helpful Safety Features

Now that the Volvo XC90 is on the lot at Smothers European Volvo Cars, we wanted to discuss a few safety features helping to increase the popularity of this luxury SUV.

The way that the Lane-Keeping System works is by scanning the road surface by way of radar sensors mounted on the Volvo XC90. If the sensors are able to detect that the SUV has begun drifting out of the lane line, a series of signals are sent to the steering wheel so it will vibrate strong enough to get the attention of the driver so they correct the position of the vehicle.

One very useful feature on the new XC90 is the Blind Spot Information System. Sensors on the rear of the SUV scan for any traffic moving into your blind spot. If any other vehicle moves into that area, the side mirror on your SUV flashes a light that will bring attention to the concern.
