Volvo Design Boss Wins Big at AutoCar Awards

Since joining Volvo in 2012, Senior Vice President of Design, Thomas Ingenlath, has left an indelible mark on the brand’s lineup. It was his hand that penned the new designs of the XC90, S90, and more recently, the XC60. Given the numerous awards these models have won, it was only a matter of time before Mr. Ingenlath himself received such acclaim.

And receive it he did. At this year’s AutoCar awards, Mr. Ingenlath was given the title of “Design Hero” for his contributions toward moving Volvo’s models in an even more luxurious direction. This includes the lavish interiors, which is why in accepting the award, the design boss brought along a V90 T6 Inscription that represented the best of his design. Styled in Maple Brown with window tints, 20-inch diamond-cut wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof, and an interior of Nappa leather and walnut wood inlays, it served as a great example of the mark he’s left on our preferred automaker.

To learn more about Thomas Ingenlath’s involvement in models such as the new XC60, watch the video above, or contact our Volvo dealership in Santa Rosa, CA whenever it’s convenient. We would be happy to share our latest models with you.
